Vitamin D is being clamed lately as the miracle vitamin, with some evidence that it may be able to help treat many common ailments, including back pain.  In an interesting development, scientists have been studying the effects of Vitamin D on many things and the effects have been surprising.

While most people get a lot of their vitamin d through the sun and sun exposure, that doesn’t mean you need to turn into a sunbather right now.  There is still a lot of research to be done before it becomes official, and to figure out how much and more details, but many signs are pointing to it as a possible addition to treatment for many people who suffer from back problems.

While the sun isn’t the only way to get a good amount of vitamin d, there are many other options.  It’s also commonly found in many foods, and you can easily find it in supplement form as well.

This is a good start, especially for those who may want to break away from many of the traditional pain treatment options.  Many are nervous about the medication treatments available for pain, and understandably so.  Thankfully modern progression of technology is revealing many new options for those who may not want to start a medication regimen.

Before you decide to start your own vitamin d regimen, as with most things you should talk to your doctor to make sure that he both knows about it and that it won’t interfere with any medications.
