Exercise Doesn’t Have to be Verboten, Even With Back Pain

Back pain (especially severe back pain) can change how you do even the most mundane of tasks. 

Exercise is no different, and back pain can create problems with something that should be a beneficial and positive experience into something dreaded and painful.  This is one of the reasons that so many with back pain instead choose to forgo exercise altogether as opposed to dealing with the pain. 

However, there are some thing that one can do to help them exercise even with back pain.  While they may not have the same effect as a full blown aerobic routine, they can help take you a few more steps into better health. In fact many doctors are researching ways that even those with severe back problems may actually be able to do more exercise than once thought.

While you should start slowly, and in graduating time frames exercise may actually help you feel better.  At least, that’s what the studies are seeming to suggest.  While there is still a lot of research that is needed, so far the studies being done are suggesting that regular exercise may help your back pain feel better.  

Please keep in mind that before attempting any new exercise routines you should talk to your doctor first to assure that you are in good enough health.  You may also want to make absolutely sure  that any potential exercises you may do won’t damage (or, further damage) any injuries you may have.

You can work with your doctor to develop a safe and easy routine that suits you and your circumstances the best.  Taking it easy at first, you will be able to gradually work up to more.
